I watched a film last night
A documentary
About a man who murdered girls
In the Ardennes territory
My father fought there in the war
Battle of the Bulge
Nasty business altogether
Murders there indulged
Can’t say I really understand
How God allows such sin
For many it’s a step too far
So God they jettison
One thing alone can justify
Why we don’t walk away
That God himself in Jesus
Was crucified that day
And love when tested bears it all
The suffering and the pain
God help those girls who suffered then
And the families who remain
