Something has to happen
On Christmas night it did
The Lord was born a saviour
From worldly eyes though hid
Something has to happen
On Calvary it did
He died to set us free
From every sinful bid
Something has to happen
On Easter morn it did
Christ rose from the tomb
Even as he said
Something has to happen
When we go to mass
He gives himself as food to me
In word and sacrament
Something has to happen
Each and every day
I must rise to meet it
I must rise and pray
Something has to happen
Whenever I meet you
I must love wholeheartedly
The world then will be true
