My eyes are getting weaker
It’s old age
Tired now from reading page on page
Tired too from seeing on the screen
What’s going on
The now and the has been
Greedy we are
For the latest sight to see
A friend of mine has lost his sight
Dear me
But knowing him
He’ll take it in his stride
A kindly man good-humoured
Yes and wise
And yet we long to see
The light of day
Just to see to see and make our way
Those two blind men
That shouted on the Lord
Do you believe he asked them
That’s the word
Believing is seeing
Do you see?
To see the Lord
Is seeing endlessly
And trusting him
That is power indeed
Hold on to him
Be that the daily deed
