Downing Street is theatre
Podium in the street
Blue-black bricks behind her
Torrential rain so neat
Liz she does a detour
Wait for rain to cease
The world must see her centre stage
As she walks up to the crease
We have been just orphaned children
Without parental guide
The nation needs a leader
Someone to lead the side
Boris was no father figure
He just liked playing world king
The world revolved around him
Cincinnatus had his fling
Now we have normality
Liz sits at the desk
Good or bad she’s normal
Serious about her task
No squashing the sombrero
Or other jolly sounds
This is no playboy here
That one’s gone to ground
