Luke 13:22-30
Agonizomai
Not far from agony
It means to make an effort
It means to strive
To enter by the narrow gate
Go through the narrow door
Each day demands our effort
To walk on heaven’s floor
Don’t be lackadaisical
Wide boys will not win
Practise daily self-control
Good self discipline
Life’s journey is a purpose
We are heading for a place
Let that goal now guide you
Walk each day in grace
This is no idle saunter
Nor our resting place
Our life it is a pilgrimage
So each day set your face
Sun and rain will come to you
Each night we take our rest
Then rise again to walk the road
Until we reach the crest
