The immaculate heart of Mary
The feast day for today
I associate it with my father
It used to be his birthday
August twenty-second
Now it’s here in June
It follows on from Jesus’ heart
Very much in tune
And over in America
Tumult for Roe v Wade
And the story of ‘Jane Roe’
A sad tale I’m afraid
A girl abused mistreated
From a broken home
Used abused defeated
She finally came to Rome
Abortion is demanded
Because women are abused
And the foolish cry of freedom
Bandied about and bruised
Becomes the one true doctrine
Nothing must take its place
And mutual responsibility
Has lost has lost its face
