I go to Mass online these days
Today in Donegal
People kneeling in their pews
The priest prays for us all
The sanctuary a holy place
Quiet dignity
The gift the Lord has left to us
His presence in a sign
In this place the Lord now speaks
We listen to his word
And our response is sacred speech
Our words we know are heard
Of all the words we say today
None so short or sweet
As the common prayer we come to say
When earth and heaven meet
The Lord who spoke in Galilee
And in the Upper Room
Speaks today in daily Mass
I cannot come too soon
Not orphans now we walk the road
The Lord is at our side
Bless us dear Lord on this new day
Here with us abide
