When did we see you, Lord?
When?
I’ve seen you in images
The bambino in the crib
I’ve seen you in the sacrament
In the tabernacle hid
I’ve seen you in the stations
That line the holy wall
And in hearing the holy gospel
I’ve seen you most of all
But in the flesh you’re not around
To let me see your face
I am not an apostle
I cannot take their place
And yet you say I see you
When can that be so?
In everyone you meet today
I tell you
It is so
