We have to live with ourselves

The bottom line

First line really but definitely bottom line

With what we’ve done

And what we failed to do

With how it went

And yes what happened you?

 

Some things we can confess

Yes that’s my fault

And kneeling down and contrite

Put it right

But others things

Were out beyond control

We had to navigate

The storm the squall

 

And we need help betimes

To feel okay

We cannot go alone

That’s not the way

We walk the road together

In every kind of weather

So give each one a hand

You do okay

 

Some folk get long life

Some do not

Some are loved and cared for

Some forgot

Make your way to peace

But not alone

Have a care for others

So atone
