Living on my own has taught me well
We cannot live alone
Not all alone
We need to speak to others
Talk and listen too
Without the other
It’s a fine how do you do!
And Captain Boycott learned that to his cost
When his heartless ways
Were practised round Lough Mask
The neighbours all rejected him
Completely cut him dead
He could not long survive it there
He cleared off instead
And this is the Jesus recipe
For dealing with the foe
Negotiate communicate
Bring others in the know
And if the foe’s unwilling
To come and make the peace
Have nothing more to do with him
Let him stew in his own juice
