Family is the nursery of life
It’s there we live and learn
Encounter love and strife
Fight our battles wage our wars
Earn our stripes get our scars
Sometimes run away from
Sometimes run back home
We must emerge from family
Important to get outside
Go into the wider world
Bear our name with pride
Take our values with us
Represent the clan
But remember most of all
To be yourself and be the best you can
A wider world awaits you
Other folk and friends
People you will take to heart
Others who offend
Living your life making your way
The challenge is thrown down
Step out into that world my friend
And earn yourself the crown
