Mark 3:22-30
They said he did the devil’s work
Seeing his power to heal
A power that they did not possess
How did it make them feel?
Jealous of the carpenter
Experts in the faith
Unable to accept him
Too much for them to take
But calling goodness evil
That goes beyond the pale
That undoes the cords of life
Causes everything to fail
A sin against the spirit
Jesus calls it what it is
The truthful word must flourish
Or a world of lies it is
Every word you utter
Should be a word of truth
Or else you’re in the gutter
Robbed of life and youth
Let your words be calm and clear
Kind and patient too
Then there is no thing to fear
The Lord will be with you
