Putin is a problem

Dictators always are

Think of Mussolini

Stalin Hitler Tsar

Power they have taken

Power they mean to keep

Now they are unaccountable

Enough to make folk weep

 

Killing off their enemies

Imprisoning their foes

Poisoning their critics

This is how it goes

If you cross the moral line

You ought to pay a price

But when you wield all power

Morality is a vice

 

Try negotiation

But don’t expect too much

Then it will be sanctions

Perhaps the Boycott touch

People unaccountable

Will one day come to doom

Know whom it is you’re dealing with

When goodness leaves the room
