Your Face

When I saw their faces

That’s when it hit home

The people who have died up here

In Scotland now my home

Till then it was only numbers

And numbers don’t impress

Not the way that faces do

Numbers we don’t care less

But faces speak for people

People we have lost

Smiling faces worn out faces

Faces none the less

And stories of the lives they lived

And whom they left behind

And faces always faces

Will help the world stay kind

For faces look for faces

Look into your soul

Looking for the good in you

Possible parole

We have depth and history

Hope for future too

I am looking for the soul in you

So that we can live we two
