Sisters in the silence
Silent sacred space
Tabernacle lectern
Sedilia altar place
Switch off all distraction
Sit or kneeling there
Come home unto your silent self
Not emptiness but prayer
Let images ideas
And simple thoughts come in
Sit in his presence
Say goodbye to din
Here the Lord is waiting
Every day for you
Let him speak his word to you
All his words are true
Face the quiet every day
Let it be your friend
It will take all care away
All fearing of the end
Let the power of silence
Bring your soul to birth
Sit before the Lord of life
Come to know your worth
