11.37 my faithful bus arrives
Two stops along the road it sets me down
Into Waitrose provisions to provide
Half an hour and bus to take me home
I have my list of messages wrote down
I know my route around those ordered aisles
Chocolate buttons for when my grandsons come
Occasional wine to keep life good with smiles
A one shop stop an easy thing to do
Waiting for a bus an interlude
Fresh air and meditation watch the cars go by
Thank God I don’t need those I find them crude
So grateful for this easy life of mine
Retired at ease plenty time to think
Look back along the long road that I came
A real life journey gone now in a blink
And looking forward that’s a real don’t know
It doesn’t matter today will be the show
Just do God’s will and let the others know
You love them and will always tell them so
