Pope Francis gives us words every day
Today he tells us simply how to be
I am tossed about by mood often grey
Up and down where is the steady me?
Francis speaks of Mary and her life
How she listened when the angel came
Her days were filled with worry and with strife
But look and see and learn the very same
Her attitude was one of openness
Ready reception of whatever came
Bethlehem and Nazareth and Calvary the cross
Be it done to me accordingly her aim
Here then is my way to live my life
As servant of the Lord from this day on
The joys and sorrows whatever worldly strife
Let these things be your grace will guide me on
