A brief stay in Belfast
Where politics has shut down
The fearful DUP
Refuse to settle down
So speak to young ones this time
And wish them happy days
Then off to the republic
And to the welcome gaze
Oh Ireland of the welcomes
How dear you are today
My heart is lifted to see the sight
Joe Biden on his way
Laughing with relations
Making friends the while
While stony-faced old unionists
Can barely raise a smile
A dominated country
One day will be free
If everybody changes
And allows all things to be
The priests are out of Ireland
But the Brits they still remain
But different days are coming
And all will then be gain
