Clutterbuck
I looked it up today
What a name to be landed with
Oh what rotten luck
But things are not so bad it seems
In fact not bad at all
The name has Nordic roots
A beautiful name withal
The ‘Clutter’ bit means pure
And buck is beck a stream
The name means pure running water
To enhance your daytime dream
In English it sounds awful
This Nordic/Flemish word
But its origin is wonderful
A running stream is heard
Clutter makes us think of rubbish
Buck is near to muck
And so this strange sounding name
Seems laden with bad luck
But do a little research
And all’s not what it seems
The sight and sound of running water
The beauty of a stream
