Her birthday falls tomorrow
She would be fifty-eight
But forty-seven was all she saw
And then to heaven’s gate
She was a saintly person
I knew it from the start
A good and lovely person
A kind and loving heart
She was the healing of my life
The answer to my cares
She brought her common sense to me
Fulfilment of my prayers

+ Margaret, my wife was born in Dublin 29 January 1965 and she died in Stirling 19 September 2012. In the gospel of Mass this weekend Jesus teaches us the Beatitudes. Many people walk this earth as living embodiments of those blessings. I count Margaret among them. I thank God that I met her.
