Happy Valley paints for us the scene
Traumatic stories
Troubled homes the norm
Drugs and dodgy dealings
Control freaks on the loose
And police pick up the pieces
While others turn to booze
Our families are anchors
In a world of crime
Refuge from the cold outside
Safety every time
Knowing someone loves you
Will always take you in
Helps us walk the busy street
Helps us to fit in
Jesus loved his family
Yet knew it is not enough
A deeper truth is needed
When this world is so tough
The foundation of human goodness
The Spirit of the Lord
Do his will in every thing
Be a child of God
