It’s cold very cold
And some folk have snow
Ice and frost is everywhere
And folk are feeling low
Trains aren’t running
Folk on strike
NHS brought low
And teachers too are striking
How low can we go?
And war is raging in Ukraine
Bombs and missiles there
Putin isn’t talking
What’s really in the air?
USA and China
Power struggles of the globe
And poor folk will cop it
They always bear the load
And Harry missed a penalty
Now there’s a how do you do
But the cricketers are doing fine
So I guess we’ll all come through
The global scene the local scene
All one dreary mess
We need to be doing better
For our children now I guess
