Jesus saw the crowds
And began to speak
To feed the soul
The hungry
Those who seek
To say the words
That make our hearts catch fire
Blest are you – makarioi
That lift us ever higher
And crowds are coming still
To hear this word
All the saints of all the ages
Treasure what they’ve heard
Do not read and turn away
Take the word to heart
Listen to the word each day
Make a brand new start
Writers artists preachers
Find a way to say
And light a spark to fire us
Living day by day
The world is full of trouble
But I have overcome
Do not be afraid
