The news of the world is bad news
The war now in Ukraine
The cost of living here at home
Everything’s a pain
The incidence of murder
Sexual assault
We look around and wonder
Who is now at fault?
But there’s other news to listen to
The news that’s nearer home
How do I treat others?
Even when alone
Think of them and pray for them
Contact with the Lord
We all belong together
Joined up by the Word
My church-going days are over
But faith is still my life
Every day the mass I read
Calm all threatening strife
Pray for others with the Lord
Keep your spirit strong
Live the day in harmony
Know where you belong
