Matthew 22:34-40
What our mothers told us from the start
Be good they said
Live life from the heart
Be honest in your dealings
Never tell a lie
This is our nature
Nurture it
Even when we cry
Love others as you love yourself
The second thing to do
You see it in that TV show
Ambulance and its crew
The desire to help another
To come to others’ aid
Makes our life complete
How we make the grade
Our days become a struggle
To live our lives this way
The troubles we encounter
They will not go away
But the skills we need to face them
To survive and to come through
Are there in the beginning
Love God and love you too
