All The Years To Come

The death has occurred the writing says

I see again today

My mother’s funeral notice

So simple then to say

Late of Glencullen Lower

Now of Westport town

Now the family gather

To lay her body down

94 years of life she lived

A loving mother too

Fiery sometimes as my father said

She told him a time or two

She was wonderful she really was

A credit to her clan

The little girl from Erris

A powerful life span

And when it came to speak of her

I remembered words she said

When we were small and cuddly

They have stayed long in my head

I’ll love you today the words she said

I’ll love you tomorrow too

I’ll love you for all the years to come

And she did she did it’s true
