What can you do?
Witness to the truth
Or just go back to Galilee and die?
He let himself be taken for a sinner
He did not resist their cruel blows
Nor their taunts and jibes
He walked the road to Calvary
And there was crucified
Stephen in his turn
Would pay the price
For speaking out and preaching in his name
Pagan hearts and pagan ears
Stubborn people all
They picked up stones to throw at him
And so did Stephen fall
And now Navalny
In his turn
Why did you go back home?
Would it not be easier
To live maybe in Rome?
No place is safe from murderers
And poison is a pest
I’ll go back home
Among my own
And leave to God the rest
