Damage

A house destroyed

Books lie on a shelf

The owner gone or dead

I do not know

Who did this thing?

A long-range gun

That was my father’s job

Release the bombs

God knows where they land

 

To hurt another person

Is all wrong

We know it is

But still we carry on

And we use words

As weapons every day

I’ll stick it to you

No matter what you say

 

Look at the way

The Lord dealt with his foes

Not afraid to name the wrongs

But never heaven knows

To curse or to condemn

It does not serve

Answer good and proper

Use God’s word
