John 5:1-3. 5-16
Our sorrows can become our friends
Our familiar mournful face
The hurts our hearts have suffered
Now centre stage their place
No suffering like mine
The mournful song we sing
There is no rescue coming
There is no anything
Others must take care of me
They see how hard it is
Others must beware of me
Easily hurt my case
The man beside the healing pool
Never took his chance
Always an excuse he had
Not to join the dance
And so the question rises
Will you hear today?
I can make you well you know
Unless you wish to stay
