Bombs in Iraq

Brought bombs on British streets

People find their own way to hit back

A little girl called Saffie died

Only eight years old

Others too got bombed that day

Manchester cried

 

I did

What I thought was right

Said Mister Tony Blair

As a bottom line it’s honest

But does it go that far?

 

What I mean is pressure

The forces of the day

The tidal wave of feeling

To go America’s way

 

The tension in the Commons

The earnest argument

Robin’s resignation

The million on the street

 

We’ve paid a price in blood

For removing Saddam Hussein

Will we pay another price?

For all this Putin pain

 

Or can we find another way

To stop this age old war

Churchill said it in the end

We need to do jaw jaw
