Love your enemy Jesus says
It makes perfect sense
It brings an end to war
Hostility banished hence
Do good to those who hate you
Disarm misguided hearts
Be open-handed generous
Consider others’ hurts
Examine the life of Jesus
See this text played out
All of his encounters
Never hear him shout
Fit for all who met him
Straight and honest true
This is now the recipe
He made it just for you
The call is to be human
Fully human too
Redeemed from all our selfishness
A truly brand new you
Grace is of his giving
Ask and then receive
This is daily living
Yes Lord I believe
