He tells good stories Jesus
They last the test of time
The rocky road to Jericho
The good Samaritan
The younger son all prodigal
Lost and far from home
The father always looking out
Where has my boy gone?
And more than this his own short life
A dramatic tale to tell
From the quiet streets of Nazareth
To the very gates of hell
The opposition gathering
Ambush in the night
Condemned by Pontius Pilate
His end a fearful sight
I am with you always
He tells his faithful friends
I will not leave you orphans
The Spirit will befriend
And now your story matters
The one you’re living now
Don’t let it fall in tatters
Be true now to the vow
