Night Prayer

The Sisters sing at evening to the Lord

And from my house I join them in their prayer

To sing and pray gives honour to the Lord

The soul grows great as breathing in fresh air

 

In early days I learned to love the Lord

And served at Mass in early morning light

Now in the evening of my life

I search again to find the soul’s delight

 

Here in the darkness of my room

I acknowledge the goodness of the Lord

And while outside the world is full of gloom

Here inside the sisters sing his word
