Never ever reinforce a negative
This the rule that Sandra gave to me
My boss in mediation
To oversee my work
She brought it home to me
Positive-ly
Negatives abound in every story
They batter us
Seek to win the day
This is wrong and that is wrong
Why don’t you go away!
The path through thorny problems
Be positive in all you say
Don’t waste your time
In fruitless accusation
In arguments that only bring you down
Assemble all the positives you aim for
And set them free like marching into town
My father fought a war
And worked a mine
And lost his health to both
Before his time
But he liked a pint of beer
And horses he could cheer
I’d like to follow now
That dad of mine
