A Time For Every Purpose

Nightclubs now are nightmares

So I read

Spiking the latest trend unseen

Getting someone legless comatose

Take advantage

Life is ‘anything goes’

 

Dancing in the dark

A deadly game

Flashing lights and drumbeats

Glad you came

Noisy anonymity

Forget all stranger danger

Modern life

Sad calamity

 

I remember parish dances

Long ago

Irish bands in London

Folk out having fun

People knew each other

Have a drink with me

Dim the lights okay

But we can see

 

The evening is for going out

And meeting having fun

And seeing friends

And meeting that someone

But night time is for sleeping

Get on home to bed

And not alone not alone

‘nuff said
