The greatest thing that I must do
Love the Lord your God
Why is this so
I want to know
And if I don’t believe in God
Does it still apply?
Yes it does
I’ll tell you why
Life is made for love
Love is the essence of your life
Its meaning and its joy
And love demands
Wholeheartedly
Your energy to employ
Dedication to all that’s good
Every little thing
How you think
How you speak
The attitude you bring
The person that you want to be
From childhood to old age
The gaining of maturity
The turning of each page
Requires of you commitment
To all that’s good and true
The love of God we call it
Is the making now of you
