Connection

The coming coronation of King Charles

Takes place upon a Cosmati mosaic floor

And somewhere up above

Looking down in love

The azure blue of Mary’s windows show

 

My cousin Hughie made that fine design

Lady chapel blue

And it is fine

And so we see connection

From Glencullen to the King

Stained glass windows ushering

The light of heaven in

 

My nephew too

Spent time in royal domains

Assistant chef in kitchens

CV gains

He made soda bread to present to the queen

My mother’s recipe

Received the royal assent
