The most important thing I have
Is the key to my front door
It lets me in when I come home
It locks the world outside
It keeps me safe when I go to bed
It guards the entrance to my shed
I could not ask for more
The most important thing in life
Is the key that lets us live
That shows us how to understand
That keeps our moods under command
That forms our very character
That helps us to be brave
That key of life is given us
The Gospel of the Lord
And here today beatitudes
The Lord’s undiluted word
It opens up the world for us
It keeps us safe from harm
Go find this treasure for yourself
And find your soul’s true balm
