Dangerous Moves

I sit and talk with old ladies

While waiting for a bus

It constitutes my daily chat

While cars go thundering by us

The omnibus – for everyone

A common way of life

The motor car a death machine

Constant daily strife

I remember trams in Dusseldorf

I thought them very heaven

Smoothly safely into town

And so calmly driven

Now I read of elderly

Out still driving cars

Killed upon our motorways

Adds to national scars

American lady 69

Killed out near Dunkeld

A long way from Wisconsin

A9 danger spells

Local journey around the town

A visit to Maggie’s grave

Apart from that give me the bus

Or train or tram to save
