She carried him nine months
Alas to be stillborn
Taken from her
Never in her arms
Buried somewhere
She never knew
Sixty years she mourned
Until the register was found
Her little boy in local ground
And now she comes to lay a flower
And feels some healing in this hour
And looking back remembers
The day that she gave birth
To the nurses it was nothing
To her everything
This moment of little worth
Her child her boy
Her hopes her dreams
Suddenly at nought
But now the visitation
See the flowers I’ve brought
You were my child
You are my child
No goodbyes for us
After all these years
Hello hello
