Power tends to corrupt Lord Acton said
And absolute power corrupts absolutely
Vladimir Putin a man of power to dread
Absolute power I say it resolutely
Once you cross the line you can’t go back
Unless upon your knees your sins confess
And Putin is way way off the track
His power has put him in a tidy mess
You cannot trust the world inside or out
You stand condemned your conscience tells you so
Without confession you must remain without
Everywhere you look you see the foe
Accountability keeps the world on track
Weakness can be found in every place
Justice must forever bring us back
From corruption’s dark and dismal counter face
