Matthew 6:24-34
The Asda man
In the Asda van
Is at my neighbour’s door
Delivering food supplies today
Food to keep in store
There is plenty food
We’re never short
Abundance is our game
While others starve
And famines rage
We just go on the same
Pandemic caused us
Panic stations
Food flew off the shelves
Toilet rolls were hard to find
Basic to our selves
Our lives so neatly organised
Food comes from a shop
It actually comes from out the ground
We rarely think to stop
Today the teaching of the Lord
He tells us not to worry
About food or drink or clothing
Or being in a hurry
The birds of the air
Flowers of the field
That we might understand
God provides for all this life
We are in his hands
This is no cavalier approach
The teaching is profound
The focus for us every day
Is to live on holy ground
Set your heart on doing right
The rest will come to you
Anxiety has no place with us
When we are living true
