I was teaching
About might and right
And the power of self-control
For all the might of battleships
At sea
The British and the German
Reich navy
For all the bombs blasted
At her side
Torpedo traffic fired
To pulverise
One simple lucky
Rear end strike
Jammed a rudder
12 degrees to port
Sending mighty Bismarck
On a turn
Around itself
Unable to get home
Such was my story
Lesson then applied
The greatest power we have
Is self-control
And listening to your conscience
And abide
By what it says
It is your homeward guide
