How do you talk to God?
Are you humble mumble?
Are you formal grand?
Talk up?
You can’t talk down!
Or on the level
Since the Lord came
As one of us
I think the road is clear
Talk honest straight
Then he’ll understand
The road to honest living
Begins with honest talk
And honest talk is prayer
I think you know
Walk the talk is harder
But at least we make a start
Daily prayer will show us
How to go
Silent resolution
To listen to the Lord
To walk each day
In company in step
Will lead to revolution
The engine of the heart
Will galvanise our life
Give us depth

An old man sat at the back of the church each day. The priest said “ come forward and be near the altar”. “ No” the man replied “ I am quite happy where I am”. “”What prayers do you say” said the priest” “I don’t say any prayers” he replied “ I look at him, and he looks at me” – I think you told me this story a long time ago Brian
