The break-up of a home
Is sad to see
That place of children
Place of family
Sometimes it’s for the best
Reluctantly
Other times
A foolish jeopardy
Whatever be the cause
A remedy
A way of fixing things
Avert catastrophe
Can be found
If people will allow
A space and time
Avoid all atrophy
My neighbour Robert
Working on his car
A trained mechanic
I stopped to have a jaw
It looked a tidy mess
Fixable? I asked
‘All things are fixable’
Ah a wise old saw!
So with us
Our children family life
Redeem the time
From losing husband wife
Deal in words and deeds of honesty
Be patient in your pain
Live for your children’s gain
Seek mediation
Strive to end the strife
