No one has been caught
For her murder
That does not mean
The person gets away
You cannot get away
With any action
The good or bad adheres
It’s there to stay
There are consequences
To everything you do
A DNA a fingerprint a clue
A spiritual effect
For joy or sadness
Your deeds become
A very part of you
The joy will make you grow
In life’s fulfilling
The bad will bring you down
Its deeds are dark
Only a confessing and contrition
Can free us from its burden
And its mark
Goodness is its own reward
We say
Evil too a consequence
Entails
Every little thing
An imprint or a sting
Imparts to us
Achievement or a fail
Get away with murder
– Can’t be done
Even when no court
Can send you down
You’re down already
By the deeds you’ve done
Torment of soul will haunt
Till life is done
