What kind of man is the Nazarene?
This man you say you follow
The one they call the Son of God
Messiah
The finest man you’ll ever meet
The people follow him in the street
They know for sure they know
There’s no one higher
An honest man a humble man
A man clear of eye
A gentle tongue
A kindly voice
A listening ear
A spirit dear
A man you cannot buy
A man for all the high the low
Those who take the hardest blow
To those especially he will give his care
Every one is sister brother
His teaching still love one another
Persevere in goodness
That’s the dare
Do not let the evil person
Drag you down to his own station
Do not give him satisfaction of resistance
Turn the tables on the wicked
Let your goodness show the trick is
Removing venom from the poisoned dart
I have come that all be saved
Saved from evil’s destructive ways
All who follow me this path will tread
Persevere in doing good
Even when not understood
Goodness is the force the wicked dread
What seemed the end is the beginning
They nailed him to a cross
Good riddance to the man of fancy dreams
He took on death and conquered it
Laid in the tomb he rose from it
World, life, death
Is never what it seems
