Something about James Taylor
Can’t rightly say
He’s good I thought
But I don’t want to know
Liked his song – Carolina
His voice a bit high pitch
Something about him
But I’ll just let it go

Now a lifetime later
I take a look
Like what I read
He is a really good book
Struggled with so much
Drugs and all
Trying to just be normal
Dad and alcohol

Now he says
He’s playing out his hand
Not trying anything new
His autumn fruit
Falling on the land
That’s how I feel I am
The words I write
Been waiting like a dam
To flow and be just right

Going to Carolina in my mind
